Been waiting to get the new girl. Here she is:

    - Out of the box & straight into the rack. Got to start putting parts on!
    - Got to start with the headset and fork. I went with a Hope headset instead of the traditional King just to match my hubs and brakes. That is a Boxxer WC there, and YES I did remove the decals.
    - The drivetrain came next. Didn't have the wheels laced up quite yet, but I did use the hub in place to get all the adjustments made. The Raceface Atlas Cranks and E.13 LG1 chainguide mounted much more quickly than usual. There's usually more finagling involved getting the guide proper. Also mounted the XT Rear Derailleur. The Shadow version really does tuck in under that swingarm quite a bit... Matched up to an XT shifter and its' really crisp.
    - Bars, Grips, Controls... Just got to lace up some wheels to get it running, but I will definitely trim that brake housing as it looks hideous with how long it is. That E.13 integrated stem is pretty slick too. Man.... A bike just isn't right without wheels. Just give me a couple more hours... Who need sleep anyway?

Glad to see you and Jeff and Nick getting some mileage out of the Mammoth pics!

For the record, I don't have a downhill bike to post, but the bike I ride downhill is the same bike I ride uphill... (I just pretend it's a downhill bike when I'm going downhill.) Does that count?

It's all in how you ride it. If you ride other stuff like you ride mammoth, I'm willing to say that that bionicon is a DH bike :)

my hardtail wasn't a DH bike last time it was built up, but that didn't keep me from putting noobs on bighits in their place

You are so damn fast on your "bike" I would have to agree that the Bionicon should be in the DH bike hall of fame...

Thanks for all the great pics on the hill
