Typically, shaving/waxing/nairing legs are a Roadie thing, but how many Mtb folks shave?

If so, what are the benefits?

If you plan on falling and needing stitches shaving is a good idea.

so, what you really are saying is?!?!?! :-k

I have no need to shave my legs or arms. Maybe if I was some hardcore racer and I needed to save ten thousandths of a second off my time I might do it, wait a sec NO WAY would I do it.

i shave to cut down on the possibilties of infection when i take a spill. i do heal up a lot quicker, plus there's less itching, and your legs feel a lot cooler on hot days.

I get like 3 feet of air on that thing, its no SLEDGEHAMMER, but its almost as sweet.

Miznaxxx Don't be jealous cuz I've been chatting with babes all day, besides we both know that I'm training to be a cage fighter....

Shaving? Only when I am performing at the drag club. Oops, wrong forum. :D Seriously though, I have shaved in the past (I was also a weight weenie at one time... I'm so ashamed!) and while it did keep me cooler on hot days and cuts and scrapes were much easier to clean, it was just not worth the hassle or my friends making fun of me. Shaving armpits in summer is a good thing though. Deodorant works better and lasts longer. It's cooler too.

Ha I only shave the legs and arms once a year and thats for the hs swim team.

I will admit it does feel kinda weird...
