Road Ride Report School's Out

I was riding the Rose Bowl today and passed a kid, about 10 or so, who was on a a bmx style bike riding in the walking lane. Now I'm in the road and pass by him without much thought. A few seconds later I hear "CRUNCH". I look back and this kid had plowed head on into a soccer mom pushing a baby carriage. Fortunately no one was hurt, but jesus! Neither one of these two saw the other coming? #-o It's not like they were going supersonic speeds or anything!

This is just a head's up. Kids are out of school so trails (and roads) will be a lot busier during the day now!
