I'd like to get in a quick ride Saturday to finish dialing in the RFX. I'll be doing Blackstar/Motorway Sunday so I'd like to save something for that.

With that in mind I'd like to hit 5 Oaks, Up Cholla, Down Rock-it, back up Cholla down Lynx, back out. Alternatively, instead of going down Lynx, go down Stair Steps if we could leave a vehicle at the Laguna Coast Wilderness Park lot. I really hate pushing my bike back up Stair Steps

Meet at MILF park (Canyon Vistas) at 9:00?

Anyone?

I'm in for sure......but maybe not.......

If I don't get any riders for chiquito sat I'll go. Stairsteps for sure. I'll know by tomorrow afternoon.

No one joined the Chiquito ride so I'm in. I'm assuming we'll decide if we want a shuttle when we meet at Canyon Vistas.

I'm not sure if everyone will be down for Stair Steps. Why don't you meet me at Laguna Coast Wilderness Park Lot at 8:45 and we can leave a vehicle there. If it's a problem let me know.

For Dean Dean the dancing machine:

Ride report, RFX report

This was just a quickie ride to finish dialing in the fork and shock on the RFX. No pics. Riders were Aldo, Mike (El Boraccho), myself and a special guest appearance by Matt (Von-Diggity). All on Turners coincidentally:bang: Trails: 5 Oaks, Cholla, Rock-it, Cholla, Stair Steps. I think Mike had an OTB on Steps but everyone else was clean. Props to Matt for riding Steps on his Flux.

The ride went great until my rear derailleur started to disintegrate after 5 Oaks. I nursed it to the top of Cholla where I cobbled it back together after some surgery. It lasted up Cholla, down Rock-it, back up Cholla and then completely exploded after the first drop on Stair Steps. I picked up the pieces and went the rest of the way unable to pedal. Despite this trouble - I have to say This bike just RIPS!

Apparently your derailluer didn't want to go on a long ride either....derailluers fault, operator error, or fire the builder?

Yes Matt is impressive on that little bike. Boy's got some skill don't he.

After reading the Interbike reviews and MTBR Turner Board, am thinkin' many will be selling their RFX's for Highlines.
