I leave town for a few days to visit my daughter in Atlanta and looks what happens! Bikers don't seem to do too well when it comes to cars vs bikes. Just glad it was not as serious as it could have been.

Let's try and make something positive out of this ... and knowing you, you probably will. It may give you more time to "smell the roses"... and it will definitely give you more time to spend with your wonderful "other half". As you correctly pointed out, it is a humbling experience to see how many people on this board are concerned about you.

Got X-Rays read by the ortho guy today. Broken thumb is confirmed, as are the ribs. Knees are ok but I have to get an MRI of my shoulder to rule out a rotator cuff injury.

I know how you feel with broken ribs. Take it easy and try not to breathe, laugh, sneeze, or sleep.

 

broken or even cracked ribs SUCK! don't watch anything funny and do your best not to sneeze or cough for any reason. Now...do you have any liquid pain meds or do you need some? (not to mix with any dr prescribed!) Let me know...I'll be in your area tomorrow! :beer:

Boats deserves a hell of alot more respect than that, he's one of the few old school stand up guys that I know. The world would be a better place if there were more people like him in it.
