I got out to Santiago Oaks Saturday morning, which happened to coincide with a bit of a scavenger hunt that Outsider MTB was putting on. I watched the short vid and figured I might snag a hidden item since I knew all the spots, but no such luck. All claimed by the time I got there. Anyway, cool idea and it was funny seeing guys off their bikes and searching around at all the spots.
It was pretty hot ... definitely my hottest ride of the year so far. Should have started an hour earlier for sure.
Barham, Yucca, some jumps and drops at the flag, Powerline, Grasshopper, Chutes Ridgeline and Fenceline for the fun stuff.
Unfortunately, I dropped the chain about 5 times ... basically through everything chunky. I just put a new chain on, so I figure it is either the Chainring or derailleur. The clutch seems strong, so will get a new chainring and hope that fixes the problem. Good time to switch to 34t from 32t on the Hightower also.
