At Kippy's thing the other night we decided that a Friday afternoon ride in Santiago Oaks was a NECESSITY.

That's about as far as we got. So Laddy-J, where is that nifty meeting spot you showed us last time?

As far as the time goes, can people make 4 pm or would a 4:30/5 be better? I'd prefer 4, but if the majority says a little later, then that's cool too.

Let's get this figured out, eh?

I'm actually out. I suckered a helper to drag out some concrete from my backyard and he can only help out friday afternoon. Any takers? I'll be sure to have some freshies on ice.

I think I'd spend $50, hire those guys in front of Home Depot and go riding instead. (bring the freshies). I'll even trade you bikes for the day.

Are you kidding me. They'll play hot potato with a 30lb jagged peice of concrete in my house. As far as trading bikes, you don't want to see me tumble down the Chutes like I normally do. Maybe I'll take it off the large drop-off. Cool?

I'm in. I'm copying a link from one of Laddy's earlier posts to the trailhead.

4:00 works best for me but I'm flexible if people want to start later.

not sure i can make ride as I jumped out on Thursday but never hit oaks via trailhead you linked. Looks like starts at weir canyon? what trail(s) do you take to get to Oaks from there? is this the trail that meets up with the fireride atop the 3 b's that gets you to the play area and then down chutes?

Gotta bail on this ride
Forgot I had to take the wife's SUV in for service this morning and did not want to leave the bike and gear in there as these service centers * Do not assume responsibility for loss or damage for articles left in your vehicle * :-s That has to be the biggest BS disclaimers around!

think better/BS disclaimers may be the ones at end of drug commericals letting you know of all the potential side effects such as bleeding from the eyes, anal leakage, etc. although the viagra type disclaimer of a woody for 4+ hours might not be so bad :D

I rode there last night but could do it today too. Days are getting shorter so I gotta get 'em in while I can. What trails are you hitting? I crashed on Goat last night and need to redeam myself. lol
Just started riding Bobcat lately and would love to hit that one.

Like KidA, I've never started from that point either. Funny how I have ridden that place for years and still find new stuff.

C- Thanks for posting the linky--that was the spot I was talking'bout!

Sorry to hear some of you cats can't make it, but there will be more rides before all is said and done!

I can't comment on any of the details at Oaks since I've only been there once...but it was fun!

mcgrath, as much fun as it sounds to haul concrete around for the afternoon I'm going to pass...though if anyone want to help my arse pack our sh!t into a trailer in a few weeks beers and grub will be provided!:D

Diggs and I are probably going to pass as we usually don't get out of here till 4:15ish at the earliest. Have fun though and make sure to get some action shots.
