I just hiked here today at dusk with the familia. Trail is OK. Pretty dusty on some of the switchbacks for this time of year. It's going to be a powdery summer.
It was great once we got past the switchbacks. Almost full moon is beautiful.
I may be night riding on Sunday...

CranxOC, Big D.D., and Murmur (from geoladders) and I rode up San Juan to Blue Jay yesterday. We turned left at cocktail rock. The rocky, rooted downhill provided plenty of grip due to the rains we had. The trail was in great shape. I can't comment on the DH, as we continued up Main Divide to take Los Pinos back down. Los Pinos provides for some beautiful views, but the many hike a bike ups and white knuckle downs really take it out of you. I can't begin to explain how good it felt to actually pedal your bike along some flats. Here's the route we took, HERE.

Today San Juan was too wet to ride . The rains have added up and the soil was saturated . Tires sank in the trail two inchs or more . #-o Don't ride San Juan on Easter .[-X

Rode this trail last sunday (7/30) to cocktail rocks. Very loose espically the upper switchbacks. Trail is still in good shape and not too overgrown with vegetation.

Rode San Juan to Falcon Trail then to main divide to the infamous Los Pinos trail. Its in great shape. A little over grown. So get out and ride before the brush gets to thick.
