SAN JUAN TRAIL this weekend??

Anyone want to plan a ride up and down the San Juan Trail. I'd like to climb it atleast to CockTail Rock.

Early start time, either Saturday or Sunday. Which ever day we get more riders.

I'd go but it's a bad weekend for me. Bootleg Canyon is what's on the agenda. Planning on any other weekend in August? I'll be up for that!

Tomorrow AM (saturday) im gona ride Santiago Oaks with the guys from Team Basso if anyone wants to join.

Im still up for San Juan or something else if anyone wants to ride Sunday...

Ive never ridden Santiago Oaks either, but Im riding with Team Basso again. There some good guys... and theyve always showed me some new places.

We meet at 7:30 at the corner of Jamboree and Chapman near a Taco Bell.

I have done the San Juan trail this saturday. It is a bit more technical, as erosion and user-ware have made its mark. It is also overgrown in the uppper San Juan. I have a fat lip to prove it, branches need to be trimmed. wear glasses if you go down. But as usual, it is a great trail.

The last time FXRob and I did San Juan, maybe 2 months back it was like you described. Once past Cocktail Rock the trail was heavily overgrown and it just wasn't fun bushwhacking through everything. We ended up turning around before the rooted/rutted/rocky downhill section.
