RR - Southridge Annual/Merged threads

I should have walked around and introduced myself to ppl I recognized... I saw Denmo, Mudman, and some guy sporting the STR jersey. I guess I'm the shy type of person :-k

 

STR jersey was Mark (trojaninsomiac) there was 3 more of us with him, Chuck (happygilmore) and Jeff (jsims w/path jersey on) Not to mention a bunch of the guys in Incycle up on the rock are all members too.

I'll be losing in 4X. Keep an eye out for me.
I think I'm the only guy with a long sleeve STR jersey.

 

I am getting much better guess all that time at BMX tracks may pay off. :bang:

 

of course- riding at the bmx track will improve you. I just want this season to start off already. Can't wait to race.

 

What class in 4x will you guys be racing ? I will be racing 4X in the winter series also I'm 37 how do the classes go ?

Looks like I will race the expert class , no age groups .

 

Yeah, going to the race and watching the spectators and riders made me realize that. Whenever a rider made a mistake whether it was crashing or washing out, people were encouraging and supportive to press on. Even during the practice runs, riders would be talking amongst themselves about lines and how to take a certain section. The vibe was cool all around.

 

Yeah only age groups is under 18 and over.

RR: Congratulation to all the STR race Participants and Champions !, This was my first race and it was a Blast, Searching though all the photos I found this one and it made my laugh my a$$ off, Den Mother, Jsims, and Dino
jump in front of the podium during my class awards and starts we are not worthy trying there best to embarrass an old Newbee racer............ Just want to say you guys Rock !

Comical observations:
~Jeff chasing Carla on foot down the start line for about 75 yards shouting " Pedal - Pedal - Pedal", he even got Donny shouting "stay off the course", the racers on deck are yelling out " Stalker"
~Jeff pedals his M6 from the cul-de-sac up the paved road passing five or more XC racers that are on the way up, they all looked stunned., as he shouts " Pedal - Pedal - Pedal"

Special Thanks STR Bro's Todd and Danny for DH practice at Oaks, SS, and Fontucky and Jeff for the invaluable racing advise " Smooth run, No Mistakes, and Pedal - Pedal - Pedal" I was not the fastest on the track, but that advise got my where I landed, Thanks for the encouragement and support !

 

darryl, you really should give racing a shot.
Adrian and Sherman were on the same boat as you are in three yrs ago. Now, they look forward to every race weekend with excitement. Friendly trash talking gets em loose. Drop me a line if you're going to be at the next race. We could hit up a practice run together and hang out. We'll have our trailer up again.

anyone got a video of the C-Class leaving the start gate? esp someone pedalling like pee wee?

 

this is a little late, but did anybody get pictures of 276M besides bluefire and sharky? I haven't found anything. nice pictures though everybody

 

Nibal (yjgfikl) is a friend of mine ... congrats to him he came in first in sport 18 under if anyone maybe has a podium shot they want to include? Nice job always fun seeing you guys ...:wave:

I'll be doing beginner for the first race. If I place top 2 I'll go to sport and get my ass kicked there.
