We seen Nancy riding back down the hill, but I had no idea she was even hrt. Sorry to hear as it was fun watching her bomb down.

Yeah that one rock garden took a lot of folks out. We were only there about an hour and I lost count of the crashes. Even some of the real good riders had thier problems.

Looks like there's two good lines to take with the high line being the fastest, but also a little more difficult. Some of those guys had enough to blast thru it, and the folks who tried to finesse it seemed to crash a lot more.

We rode the xc course and I finally got one of my boys to ride! And he liked it. True we went real easy, but maybe I can get him interested.

    Great shots Sharky, thanks.

Nancy, sorry to hear about the crash, hope you're feeling decent. 12 days isn't too bad and it should be healed by the next race! :bang:

Allison, congrats on the first place XC finish! You're going to have a whole wall full of those. BTW, how'd Justin do. I missed all of awards due to 4x practice.

Got back early, kids are sleepin' so I thought I would toss this up to kill some time.

Not sure who the rider was (either #730 or #230) but his wrist is really messed up. Hope he heals quickly and nothing else was broken. Took a bad crash at the bottom there were someother but I did not get any pics ... see for yer self,

It was seriously a great day to be on the bike. Finally got to see Lee's bike in the flesh (the new one will be the same frame but a bit longer?) hung out with Jman, Ricky, Destroyer, Lee, Sharky, Denmother, Roger, RacinJason, Queenwilhelmina, Evil , Mosh, BigDaddy, and Troy. Met a few more friends too and as far as I'm concerned, you combine that with the sun, warmth, Mexican food, and some bikes-brilliant day of racing!

Learned some new lines, some areas that I need to protect (cheers Evil and Mosh!), and I think I finally have that one footed gate thing timed out.

Sharky-you've got that pump and pull on the bike down! Denmother-get well soon and back on to the 4X track!

See some of you next weekend at the Bootleg Canyon race :D

Great actually. I just felt more centered. I'm looking forward to getting out there and practicing some more. I was simply shot by the second race. Between XC in the morning, to many climbs up that hill and the heat I was blasted by the last race. Next will be new tires or at least some small block 8's for the rear tire and I was eyeing the chain ring on Lee's bike. We'll see what I can scrounge up in the next month or so. :-k Thanks again.

Yeah Evil had that thing all taken care of quick and he was really cool about it too. This series is the first time I've been around Mtn Bike Pros and I've gotta say they've all been great. First race I talked football with EC and Houseman on the way up to the Super D start (didn't even realize it was them until abut half way up) and now the repair with Evil. Very awesome to see that our sports pros are so down to earth!

I did another thread under the Racing forum, Crash, probably should have put it somewhere else. I forget her name but the lady that shoots those sweet photos got the entire crash from start to end including the braking of the wrist (unless I misunderstood her)

Ouch, I guess you can't armour everything, although I saw 661 had some wrist guards but i doubt they'd help in a crash like that! Ouch...and now I know why I stay away from DH. (Of course some people talk as if they think 4x is crazy....maybe if you're actually good at it, it is! lol)
