We had another great ride. Thanks Mike and Rich for the company. Skinsuit its amazing, after going down on the very steep sections we looked back and we were saying "wow that is steep and we just went down on it" good times..

One funny situation worth mentioning was: as we were putting our gear on to do down Skinsuit Mike and I had our shirts off, and a group of people were climbing on skinsuit. I overheard their Spanish conversations
They were saying "look they are getting naked" and one of the lady's said "I am going first" meaning she would go after us first. When they got to the top , I told them that I heard what they were saying and they got all shy and surprised. We had a nice talk...:lol:

It was a great feeling picking up trash and leaving the trail cleaned...

Rich kept a nice strong steady pace...:clap:

Numerous ruts, yes. Enough to put the ride in the "don't bother" column? No way!

PS: Watch out for the rare Spanish Cougar! Poor ol' bird was so embarrassed. She could barely hide that huge smile behind her hand, hehe...
 
Wow! That was a lot of FUN. 1st time on Skinsuit, it's fast at the top and then gets steep with drops about mid way. I'd have to say it's one of my favorite trails.

Mike and Vino crushed it! You guy have no fear :bang:

Vino left STR and went to Facebook as I left Facebook and came back to STR....but I'm up for a Skyline ride too! Oh mike001, can you set this up??...and I'll take that bday beer then. : p

Would love to ride Skinsuit again soon. (Waggy Ridge got me "in the groove.") It's not exactly chock full of sweet flow, but it's a lot of fun, challenges the bike-handling skills, a great part of the range, and makes a decently long ride from the Blackstar side.

ridinrox, jaime and anyone else...love to hit trail with ya. Jaime, you could ride it from the Skyline side with a lot less mileage, but you'd be missing some sweet views on Blackstar and some fun singletrack variants going back down BS. Alternately, you could catch a lift to the BS trailhead and simply ride home after going up and over. Or join up for the whole grind if up for it.

I'll bet Mo and vino (if they can make the ride) might be up for a change of venue for this WE. (We had tentative for Bell Ridge.) Holler, pals. (Edit: how did I know? Hehe, compa.)

Of course frosties are de rigeuer upon completion, rox...Plus interest in your case : )

No FB, no clique, no attitude, no RR for all I care, no frikkin problem. It's purely about fun on the hill, and conditions appear all-time for this weekend. Markedly cooler Sunday, but I could do either day. Wooottt!!
 
I'm dont mind the drive to BS on a sunday morning, but during the week its very difficult to get there due to the frigging traffic on the 91fwy and then taking the 241 toll road.... mmmm from 5:30 am tru 8:30 the traffic is jammed :(

I may have a boner between my legs but you're a weenie Vino for leaving STR!! (lol) And I'm looking for outside sets not that it breaks overhead at...get this...Boneyard!!

Sunday works for me if I'm not dead from my 8 mile run on Saturday.

Mike: I concur w your FB, clique, just ride for fun attitude...you and me both bratha!!
 
Remember to put your clock 1hour back this saturday night before going to zzzzz
