I was totally commited to racing it. But after some thought I can't really justify to myself to hurrle down the hill at Mach 2 just to try and peddle my a$$ back to the finish line at the Gondola. Seems like a rider that's a better sprinter will win fairly easy?

    Is it just me?

Just you, pedaling to the gondola will pale to pedaling "The Wall".

50/50 on going, River or Mammoth hmmm...

definitely going. I have no clue on accommodations though. anyone got a spare room/ride for cheap? I'm down to crash on a floor with my sleeping bag.

has anyone heard anything about the what the actual DH course will be? and if velocity, am I allowed to hit the expert rock garden up top if I race sport?

    Hi,

Does anyone know the course that the Super D is going to follow for the Mammoth race? I'm still on the verge of deciding to go or not, and knowing what trails I'd be riding might influence my final choice.

    Thanks!

That's why the bike crew was doing all that work on velocity.

    New Mountain-X Course Open

After 3 weeks of construction, the new Mountain-X course is finished. The new trail is accessible from Techno Rock or Trail Home and is packed full of berms and jumps. We have also added 3 new paver-berms to Off The Top this week to add to the 2 new ones that were already built this summer.

The California Golden State Mountain Bike Championships are coming up quick September 4-6, 2009. During this event, approximately 73% of bike park trails will remain open including bike park fan favorites Downtown, Paper Route, Off The Top, Brake Through, Seven Bridges, Chain Smoke, Twilight Zone and DC-10.

To see the latest news and pictures from the Bike Park, follow us on www.twitter/MammothMountain or check out our blog at http://livevibe.mammothmountain.com/.

well, when I talked to donny at woodward, they were thinking about letting Joe Lawill build a new trail for the race. but, seeing as the mountain is still forest service property, they would've needed to go through a lot of red tape to get a trail built, so they scrapped it.

but yeah, it's looking like velocity. still havn't heard back from donny yet though. anyone know how long it takes for him to get to emails roughly?
