Very nice shots Winston! I was at the bottom of the Motorway and snapped a few shots of the STR crew as they pulled in and took off. After that I took off for a quick ride from Cooks to the Luge and back to Cooks to kill some time. Then I hopped back in my ride and went to the finish line to snap a few more pix of STR crew coming in. Unfortunately my cord to upload the pix is at work so they'll have to wait til monday.

Congrats to all those who participated! It was cool to be there and see you all come into the bottom of the Motorway and assist you guys if you needed anything. My pump kinda became the community pump as rider after rider scrambled to fill up their tires if they needed to be filled. I had to leave the finish line early so I didnt get to see all the bubbs finish. Hopefully next year I can give it a shot on the 29er s/s. (I know I said that last year, but I really mean it this time :p )

Yeah. Dell beat me by a minute. Darn you! J/K. He's a "fast hucker." Nope - i'll never tire of that.

Bret, I think you'll be doing VQ or CC next year for sure. With that 29er of yours ... you will be ready and rearing to go. And I'll have even more competition. Great to see ya out there.

George, your pic is funny. And why do I look retarded in mine?

Great times! Great job everybody. It was nice to finally meet some the people I've met on STR.

    Next year!

Thanks for the pics Winston. I pushed the SS to hard going to Beeks Place. You kind of get caught up in it all. I was feeling good and then I hit the Main Divide and the WIND! When I finally got to the bottom of the Motorway it was only 8:25 and I thought I would be fine. I got some water and headed up Maple Springs and by the time I got to the end of the pavement my legs and lower back were cpamping bad and I started second guessing myself. :-k If I would heve taken some gel shots and drank some energy drink I might have made it.

Cheers to all that finished!!!

    Next year more training!!!!

um, i fell on the blackstar fireroad. lame. i know. i am blaming it on my bad tires. the funny part is that everyone was asking me whether my knee was okay?! so the scraped knee kinda externalized my internal knee problem ... i was like, "do these people have telekinesis?" my knee has mild-moderate pain the whole time. not too bad i guess. nice to meet you at the start! you were really hauling.
