what makes it a FR/DH? my XCL came in at 36.5 with a saddle bag. Its got a pike coil, e13 DRS, DHX 5.0, and the rest is the Chumba build kit. I was thinking about a coil shock though... awsome bike!

Correction -- You are not on the San Juan Trail! You are cutting a switchback and helping to F-that trail up. Thanks a lot! Ride the trail or walk the trail - But stay on the trail!

Wow, good call! The only thing worse then cutting switch backs or riding out of bounds is posting about it on the internet with images. This validates that some are either ignorantly unaware of our struggles to keep trails open or they just don't give a rats ass. Either way, pretty stupid! #-o

    It's like a new bike...

I realize I already posted a pic of my SS, but had to put one up of it with the new carbon fork. An '07 Kona Unit 2-9, 32/18 gearing. Sorry for the cheapo cell phone pic...

It's seriously like a whole new bike. It's not exactly Rock-it or Fontucky ready, but the carbon REALLY makes a difference over the small, chattery stuff. It's ready for the noob SS sufferfest on the 17th!:bang:

You'll notice the shin guards in the last picture.
Check out Brooklyn Machine Works' website; the original
solid-piece version of that pedal is called the "shinburger"! Paired with 5-10 Impact shoes they have ridiculous traction, but they are huge so i scrape them on rocks a lot. I've been riding platforms lately because clip-ins hurt my feet.:-s

I might try those. I always break the pins on other pedals and they cant be replaced when broken off. I would not even want to try to replace them, not worth the effort!

i have the jim ciliniksi? i call 'em silli nikki pedals, heavy- but the small pins grip like a mutha with any flat sole shoes- and just bruises, no skin loss during pedal shok. don't like shinguards.
