    Project SS

So I walk into The Path (how many stories start like this) to buy a tire for my RIP9 and Donkey says to me Have you ever thought of a SS... Ummm No not until NOW...

Long story Short I am an owner of a Godzilla Green Niner ONE9 Add a Pink King head set, Kona steel fork, Truvative crank Some thompson stuff wheels off ebay and some formula brakes and here she sat...

Then we decided that we LIKE the whole SS thing so Back to the Path we go

    New Brakes Juicy 7 Carbon,
    New Fork Pace Carbon 29
    [IMG]

Paul provided the cranks (through the Path of course)

Oh yeah Phil took care of the BB
and a new set of Hopes with Stan's Arches with Pink Nipples to matchthe headset and seat

Oh yeah and the hubs matchthe frame...
and voila NEAR perfection (I have one more upgrade in the near future)

or snap as it may be
    [IMG]
and then it was NINER and
    [IMG]

Well, I broke this frame (again):

So the Path stripped one of these down for me:

    The result:

    Upgrades since then:
    Rogue lock-ons
    Gold Hope seatpost clamp
    '08 Mallets
Speshy Chunder 2.3 in the front
'08 XT discs (8" front/7" back) to replace my haggard old Hayes Mags

Stands at about 32 pounds. The extra travel of the Lyrik on the front helps further rake out the frame's already slack geo, netting a 66.5-degree HA.

    Future upgrades:
New bar and Hope stem (next week, hopefully)
    Gravity Dropper
    Coil for the rear

    Thanks for the compliment.

Devinci's are super rare this side of Canada.

I bought everything on close out. The whole bike cost about $1800. Just wish I had a place that was steep enough to ride it.
