[Pictures] Your Rides: Before & After

Does anyone have photos of their bikes before and after? Show your masterpiece.

    General rule:
    • Before/After photos
    • Description of your items upgraded
    • Perhaps details on change of performance from stock parts to your upgrades
    • Forecast on your future upgrades
    • If it is difficult to find a photo of your bike completely stock, link one from a manufacturers website
    • Custom bike owners: please post as well, those are some of the best!

Initially when I rode the Trek Fuel EX, I was mesmirized by the difference in handling from my stumpy, the ABP was by far the most noticable feature especially when bombing down 1E01 in Big Bear. The changes I have made have played a huge impact on the riding performance in a good way. Now the bike feels several notches towards and All-Mountain bike (in terms of plushness from the burlier tires) and more rigiditity due to the wheelset. The Joplin R allows me to spend more time focusing my attention to having uninterrupted fun and passing my buddies while they are adjusting their seat posts before a gnarly descent (the 1-2mm left/right swivel on the post is somewhat disheartening.) After the installation of the carbon handlebar, I had to test ride it, no noticeable difference but got a killer deal from Rob :bang:

future upgrades: I would like to purchase a 50mm stem to give the cockpit a tighter feel, the stock stem feels too long. Purchasing better grips too, I like those ones that conform to your hand

    Before:
This is the only pic I have that is as close to stock as possible, it does have the joplin seat post here.

For the past 6-8 weeks, I've been without a fork for my trailbike. I thought I'd take the opportunity to get the frame powdercoated, as the original powdercoat was so crappy you could scrape it off with your fingernail.

Here's the bike when I first built it up in Jan. '07

Before, purchased off EBay. didn't intend to get it, but the deal couldn't be beat.

    Then after.
Built up exactly what I wanted, every single part.
