I'll be there! The OTH (Over The Hump) cross country race course during the summer series was not technical but it was fantastic, a blast! Not too much climbing and a lot of singletrack with more than ample amount of sections for passing. Really great series and I expect Pedalfest will be just as great. Looks like a great alternative to the Fontana Winter Series for those in LA county for whom Castaic is a little closer to home. Plus the park at Castaic Lake is a great place to bring the entire family for a nice Saturday morning outing.

So from their Facebook page it seems they will be pre-riding the course tomorrow (Sunday) at 9:15am..... Looks like it's following the OTHLA course with some new additions...

So, did anyone do the first race? I'll probably be out at the 2nd one this coming Saturday and would like to know what to expect, I have never ridden in the Castaic area.

I did the first race....course is fun with punchy lil climbs and rollers with lots of single track sections. There was one long climb in the back that really took a lot out of you and went up to 18% grade. As far as the firt it's really powery in some areas and fire raod packed dirt in others. http://app.strava.com/activities/104082792 here was the course on my strava...might be different or they might make us do a reverse of this same course...who knows?
