Giant Sedona hybrid, hitch mount bike carrier



It's time to let go of my gateway drug.

2005-ish Giant Sedona comfort/hybrid bike. Not a mountain bike, not anything special, but it introduced me to the joys of riding dirt. I would like it to do the same for someone else. This bike is yours for the taking, with one condition: It must be used to introduce someone to the love of cycling and MTB in particular. If you've got a friend or family member that is interested, but not yet ready to make the plunge and buy a bike, then let them give this one a shot. It will take you around the Fullerton Loop just fine and will climb Cholla (or most of it - but the part I couldn't had more to do with the rider than the bike). The descent down Meadows with the rim brakes can be a little iffy, though.

Here are the particulars. It's a 3x8 with grip shifters. Upgraded the seat slightly and put knobbier tires on it. New brake cables and shoes. Probably needs a new rear derailleur cable, but drivetrain seems otherwise in good shape. Suntour elastomer fork with "Do not take it over any sweet jumps" disclaimer. Mismatched cheap, but mostly true, wheels.

I'm serious about it's future home - if you think you just found a free commuter, keep moving. If that's the future I wanted for it, I'd just drop it off at Goodwill and save myself the trouble. So drop me a PM and let me know how the bike is going to be used to seed someone's MTB addiction.

I also have a Yakima hitch-mount two-bike carrier. It's the kind that holds the top tube. Don't care how it's used, I just want it out of my garage.

guys, i bought the wrong seat post clamp... so i ordered a new one...

free to someone who needs it? it is basic aluminum t bolt style. i prefer the non QR type so... yea... if you wanna bring me a root beer... that will be cool too. : )
