From another perspective....

It's been awhile since I posted a video here. Last Sunday was the perfect excuse to take the cam out. While most of the locals were riding The Luge last weekend a couple of us escaped to Palm Springs to go sand surfing. We had a good ride the trail is in awesome condition. The infamous sand wash was actually rideable the whole way.

I filmed using the new Sony Action Cam HDR-AS100V with Liveview remote. So far so good the cam has some really nice features and the quality is up there with the best of them. The Action Cam currently has the best sound and image stabilization of any wearable cam on the market. It also has best in class low light recording and battery life. The Liveview remote comes in handy when you want to do a video check and positioning. I used the Play Action Cam software to compile a quick video of our ride. You can check out the quality of the video in 1080p. Cheers!

Nice video, but I found the screen to be way too busy. All the info on the bottom covered up too much of the picture and the multiple screens on top made it so you were not sure where to be watching.

PC is in my Top 3.

Thanks for sharing. Never ridden Palm Canyon, look like fun.
how do you combine 4 footage into 1 quite long video? I just got Sony AS30V, I tried the play memories software, can combine into 20 second video only, not sure how to make it longer than that. very weird.

Is GPS data a feature on the camera, or an editing add-on?

Yeah I know thanks! I used the action cam software to create the mashup in a hurry. There are other display options available I just picked the first one. The app has limited features but it's a good start. It's an easy way to show multiple views all at once.

The new model has a GPS sensor built in and logs your ride automatically. You need to use the Action Cam software to enable the GPS logging.
