Pads for Arizona - Suggestion?

I want to get some elbow and knee pads for Arizona. Anybody have suggestions on good pads?

Pricepoint seems to have the largest selection, although JensonUSA does have some also.

The fox ventilators look ok but I'm wondering if it's bad that the knee part doesnt have straps. :?:

I've had these ones for a while!! THey rock!! and I think Jenson has them for cheap!!

Too many pads to choose from!!!!

TroyLee has some cheap pads and so does Fox. Anyone recommend one over the over.

TL has knee pads for $16
FOX has knees for $11 and $20

Then TL has Elbow pads for $16. Fox didnt have any elbows in Jenson.

any suggestions???

I have a pair of 661 Race elbow/arm pads. Size large. Too big for me. I wore them one time. If anyone wants them let me know. I paid around $30 for them, so if I could get $20 I'd be happy. I think the plastic is dark gray instead of the light gray in this pic. Venting seems to be pretty good. I'll even throw in free transportation of them to Arizona

Those are the same ones I have, I like them a lot. They are comfy and not too bulky. Yeah the plastic is a darker grey.

I think I'm going to get a pair of the knee/shin ones from Pricepoint to match. Gonna sell my Fox 911's to George since they are too small for me.

Kippie - I'll bring them but I don't think they're going to fit you unless your arms are a lot longer than mine.

I bought my 661 stuff at Bike Co in Lake Forest. Pretty limited selection so I'd call first.

Price Point has the knee's but it looks like full price.

Answering my own question, but might help others.

Cycle Gear (motorcycle supply) in Fullerton has an entire rack of pads: 661, Fox, Thor, etc. Best selection I found, and believe me, I've been looking ](*,) Decent prices, too. Also have gloves and other accessories MTB'ers can use, so check 'em out if you're close. West side of Lemon, just south of Orangethorpe in Fullerton.

If ya mean pads, I'd bought some from The Path earlier in the day before discovering Cycle Gear. However, after seeing CG's selection, I would've chosen the same ones: Fox "Standard" knee/shins (only $12!), and "Extreme" elbows ($29). They actually had the 661 Ricochet's I liked from the website, but in person they were just too much pad for my needs. So at CG, I only got fork oil (what, again?!), and some new gloves. \\/

Armor is a good thing there. If you do go down the penalty is usually severe, lots of rocks and lots of cactus. In Sedona I think we all hooked up with cactus at one time or another. I didn't wear it last time, but I'm going to bring it this time. Looks like it's going to be pretty cool out there Saturday. 50 degrees or close to it. Make sure to bring extra clothes.
