Pacific Bicycle Repairs (threads merged)

By far the BEST shop I have been to! Dropped my Jamis off to Mondo this morning to do a cassette change, install new brakes (rotors and calipers) front and rear derailleurs, and some cables. A wopping 2 hours laters, he calls me that the bike is done, ready to rip!

Mondo is a great guy, hooked my son up with some stickers, smiles from ear to ear. I picked up the wrong front derailleur, Mondo hooked me up with the correct one.

I have been to many different LBS in my time, this is by far the last one I need, straight forward, no BS, easy to deal with, just down right cool!

Thanks Mondo for the kick ass service.

A++ for Pacific Bicycle Repairs! I dropped off my bike last week to have an X0 rear derailleur, X0 shifters and new cassette installed and had my bike back in 2 hours. After getting back from Tahoe, my brakes felt mushy so I didn't hesitate to contact Mondo and drop off my bike. Very cool guy and EXCELLENT service/work...from now on, he will be the only guy to work on my bike!

well

it seems few of you are handy with a wrench yourselves. How about testimony regarding a issue you were baffled by and how PBR fixed it.

okay, you asked....

Last week, I called Mondo to ask him why my bike would jump gears under power. This was Sat afternoon, and I told him I was riding Blackstar to Motorway on Sun. He said its nice to have a working derailleur for that ride, and wanted to meet me to check it out. I told him the chain, casette, chainwheels were fairly new, and that I used my derailleur hanger truing tool as well to no avail. He set up a bike stand in a parking lot, and went to work. 15 mins later he told me my hanger was probably the culprit (too much accumulated fatigue). He had hangers with him for my exact bike. I swapped it out- problem solved. I had a great ride the next day. Thanks Mondo!!!!:bang::bang::bang:

Great guy! Worked on my bike and follows through on his work. For those who have not met Mondo, he's really easy to talk to and get to know. Answers all your silly questions :P Nice chill place too!

Drop it off my bike last Saturday to Mondo, he had to order some parts, he replaced my front/rear derailleur, rebuild my Reba fork/install a new cartridge, and he did other misc maintenance. Got it back today, took on a run on fullerton loop. Feels like a Brand new bike. Mondo did a great job, and his pricing is fair.

Follow-up service...

Friday night, I left Mondo a v-mail to see if he would be in the shop on Saturday so that I could have him do his complimentary dial-in follow-up service going back to when he built my bike in August. Not knowing he does not keep regular Saturday hours, but officially works Mon-Fri, he called me back within the hour and DID NOT hesitate to tell me he could meet me at his shop since that was the only time I was available. I told him I did not want him to re-arrange his morning schedule; after all, it was a result of my own lack of proper planning that I called him last minute. His response? "My customers come first."

Met him this morning and got the usual good service and conversation. He even didn't mind my little girl using his spare DH tire as a hoola-hoop. Thanks, Mondo! Appreciate the great customer service!

A+ for Mondo (not mUndo). Tuned up my rig within 2 hours. I had shifting problems during my second ride. Called him up and he offered to come to my work and fix it for me on the spot. Turned out the shifting problem was due to my rack tugging on the cables everytime I load/unload.

First 2 months....gone!

I wanted to take a quick moment to say thanks to all who have entrusted me with their bikes as I complete my first 60 days of business.

STR has had a huge impact on my 'lil biz and I am super grateful and look forward to again helping those who have already been by to see as well as those of you who have yet to see me.

Thanks, STR!! :bang::clap::beer:

Thanks again for my new bike build!!! Mondo's (effortless) skill speaks for itself....:bang::bang::bang:

Huge shout-out to Mondo for taking my call on New Year's Day cuz I couldn't find an LBS open, and my epic ride the next day was in jeopardy because of really bad rear derailleur problems. He agreed to meet me at the shop late in the day, and sorted my bike out (issue turned out to be much more problematic than first thought) at a nominal price (plus hoppy barley water that I brought with me). End of story is that on Saturday, I get to ride Palm Canyon on instead of riding the couch. to you, Mondo.

Mondo is the man! Thanks for getting my bike ready last sat. I had a blast with Ron on Sunday (we all covered with mud). I think he'll be seeing you soon with his new fork, haha!

Has anyone heard from Mondo recently. I have had him work on my bike a few months ago and a great experience but now can not get a hold of him. A few emails and phone calls with response. Would love to get my bike into him for a few things before VQ.

PBR has a facebook page. Perhaps drop him a message or post there.

He's in the Hoss building in Anaheim right (or at least he was)? Maybe give them a call.
