I think that was the Rockhopper south. It was the downhill race (after the uphill race). I have no idea who took the photos! I raced Shaubarum Park maybe once or twice.

I converted my 1999 Yo Eddy! to singlespeed with a 650B front wheel. Great ride.

On that beach cruiser what bottom bracket did you use? I have almost that exact frame that I am building up out of left over parts and am looking for a bottom bracket to use in it.

It does look like a fun bike, mine will be similiar except im gonna throw an old manitou 100mm fork on that I have laying around. I want to find an adapter so I can mount a shimano bottom bracket to it and run the some different cranks. My end goal is to have a fun cheap SS cruiser for the beach and light trail riding.

My friends 9 year old keeps hitting me up to get him an old krate. Even if I had the money, there is no way I would let a 9 year old cruise one of those to school, maybe a reproduction but not an original. I would give it till recess before the chain was cut.

I'll jump into the fray with mine. A Santa Cruz produced Bontrager Race with correct off-set fork crown. Set up with a smattering of XT, LX and Suntour Pro XC thumbies. I also found a 1" titanium quill stem for $25.00 a few months back so I threw that on there

Man, even the replica's are expensive. Or were there for a little while. Mine are mint, and the phantom i know is worth some cash. Hopefully my daughter will ride the apple krate.

This is alot like the stingray i have (lemon krate) http://cgi.ebay.com/1974-SCHWINN-AP...ultDomain_0&hash=item4cefaeedde#ht_500wt_1154

    Last fall, 4 out of my 5 bikes were (much) older than 5 years: 2000 F3000SL, 2000 Joker, 2001 Truth, 2005 R5000.

I only recently replaced one because I think it has finally taken me through enough chunk in a decade of use. I never felt compelled to upgrade earlier...the bikes usually get me up and down the hill just fine.

All you need is a bottom bracket reducer. I picked mine up a a BMX shop for around $20. I've run White Brothers ENOs and am currently running Shimano XTs on my cruiser.

Yup, had a 27.2 seattube welded in so I wouldn't have to worry about the old Wald seatpost bending on me after every ride, but the BB shell is original. Actually lightened up the bike considerably once I eliminated about a foot of hi-ten steel and old school seat clamps. Got it powdercoated at Olympic Powdercoating once I had all the modifications finished.

Thanks for the reply. What did they charge over there for powdercoating? I was just gonna strip and prime it flat black, but powder coating is always an option.
