Non-AZ Fling Thing

For those of us not able to make it to AZ (and yes, I'm very envious, especially after viewing the vids.... you guys are going to have a blast...)

Jenson is hosting an Intense Cycles Demo Day on March 19th in Fontucky... Contact me if you're in O.C. and want to carpool.

DuketheNuke, if my memory serves me correctly you'll be in AZ. But this would be a great opportunity to test an Intense XC model.

I'm always curious about how different bikes perform, and rarely get the opportunity to ride other models. Example: CalEpic and I ride 5-Spots, but with different suspensions, and my very brief ride on his bike really got me thinking about changing my rear suspension from coil to air.

Hey Aldorola, KONA was suppose to be doing a demo day down at Cooks this weekend but I think the rain may have squashed it out. I'm not sure, but I wanna demo a Kikapu. I'm gonna call the Path and see if it's still crackin' for Sunday morning.

Indeed Craig, I've been talking to Aldo about getting a DHX-air. He said he was saving his pennies for one.

The 6.6 is a sweet looking bike, but I've sat on one at the Bike Co (the owners personal bike) which had a 36 Vanilla on it and the head angle was still way too steep and xc'ish for my liking. I don't like Intense for that reason alone mainly, most of their bikes need a slacker geometry for my taste. You'd have to run a 66 (170mm) fork on it to get the head angle to my liking.

way too steep and xc'ish for my liking?8-[ I know this is like a super NOOB question but what makes it too xc'ish? I was just thinking about the geometry of some bikes and was just wondering what may work better for my liking.

Rob means the positioning on the bike feels too much like a road bike, maybe not that extreme but...

I've also heard complaints about that with the 6.6 and 5.5.

I'd think it mostly depends on bike your comming from before, I'm probably use to the steep head angle being on a 4inch XC bike. But my Talas makes up for some it!!
