I think Hills problem is fitness, he just is not the best at pedalling like Gwin, Minnar or others that train hardcore. I love the way he rides, visually pleasing kinda like Hart, but just not as effiecient as others.

    Tire-d?

    Or the tires...

Aren't those Maxxis Minion DH-fs on Gwinny's Bontrager rims instead of the Bonti G-4s?

FB Chris :) Too many whiner/climber/anti-skid goaters/f-loopers, etc....

I watched at 8:00am (saturday night ended too close to 5:00am - kid gone for the night ;)) then I knew the results by the time we were up to the last 8 or so riders - thought for SURE Rob was gonna bust a gut, I think he was just 'speechless' He did say at one point, glad you're talking to his co-host...

Not to dis the ladies, but not until the last 10-12 riders did you see 'racing' - the rest were 'riding' .... AMAZING to watch. Was just bummed they lost the feed camera on the top split where he gaining 6 secs.

Can't wait to see the GB's on their home turf next week.

This wasn't good enough, you needed to make a new thread?

I didn't have to make a thread, I choose to create one to centralize discusion

I dont know if you noticed the name of this thread "No World Cup DH Thread? "

The new thread that was created was to address the lack of a thread of a UCI DH thread.

    Have a good day

Less than 24 hours till WC 3! Fort William is gonna be awesome! GT's dyanmic duo of Kashima coated riders are top qualifiers! Rachel, and Bromont!

    Mens top 5 qualifier:
    1/ Marc Beaumont 4:42.440
    2/ Gee Atherton 4:43.480
    3/ Danny Hart 4:44.480
    4/ Stevie Smith 4:45.369
    5/ Sam Blenkinsop 4:45.655

"Aaron Gwin crashed twice in his qualifying run. The Parkins Bros caught it all so stay tuned for an epic DirtTV later tonight!"

Rachel killing it with a whopping 10 seconds over 2nd!!
If she rides like she did in qualifying than this is the view her competition will see if they pick up the pace.

    Womens top 5 qualifiers:
    1/ Rachel Atherton 5:15.146
    2/ Myriam Nicole 5:25.106

wow, those quali results are interesting. gwin doing bad due to crashes is one thing, but what happened to minaar? he usually dominates this track, and he was still stuck in the 6 spot...

Good on Beaumont though, it's probably really nice for him to get out and kick some Atherton ass and remind people that he is there...
