Nice Rack !!

You do know its bad Karma to sell off gifts, right? The appropriate action would be to install a hitch on the shark-mobile and use it.

im so ashamed..[-(

Yea I think my car could do a pretty cool wheelie with that on the back. :bang:
Popped in to check out booths at the tour de foothills and saw these two STR cuties. A lil blurry but that's how they look to me neways without my glasses. (Gurp/Pain Freak)

whoa mike and glen are riding niners! sweeett.... too bad those tires are so dang skinny #-o

That's SSheetz brother I'm talking to. He went down hard today. It looked to me like he had a broken collar bone, but he didn't act like it hurt to much. Good ride, but I've been having a helluva a time with leg cramps lately. (might be to many shuttles and not enough workouts), not really sure what's causing it as I didn't have them for over 3 years and now they've come back with a vengence.

I won a 100 dollar car detailing prize and there were quite a few other give aways there. The food was the best I've ever seen at a bike function, unbelieveable and as much as you wanted.

We stayed for a few hours after the ride for the raffle and to just hang out. On the way home though I still seen riders heading in and some were still as much as 14 miles out???

Anyways this is a pretty good (short) road ride, but there is 3,000' of climbing. Sir Gurp rode with me and he had to pull the majority of the way. That boy is getting very strong on the road bike and we had a great time. We got in towards the front so we had plenty of time to watch a lot of other riders pedal on in. Temps were very good (low 70's) and a LOT of people were there. I predict that this will turn into one of the big century rides in the future. They do it right!

Well, as long as we're hijacking threads... yeah, I had a great time today. I'm hungry again and my neck is sore, but man, that, was a fun ride. I especially enjoyed going up Padua and Shinn Rd. I'm actually a mtn biker at heart so I was happiest when we were in the hills. I'm hoping that the road bike riding will translate into more speed and power for me on the trails. When it does, all the roadie haters can apologize. :D I loved it when we were all cruising down Foothill, a big peloton, and pulling 25mph! Fun! I recommend this ride and will be doing it again next year.

I'll trade you for a couple cleaning kits and tubes.

Nah...hijack away cause the rack is pretty much sold. Maybe repost RR in it's own section cause I saw a few more STR riders out there that can OUT themselves and report in!!:p That was perfect weather although it just rained here for a few minutes . I saw all of you out there on Foothill just after 7 so gave a few honks and thumbs up!! That food setup did look GREAT and thanks to Corey at Coates there for a sweet deal on a bike!!

When it does, all the roadie haters can apologize. :D quote]

I am not a hater, but I will get it out of the way and apologize now...I am sorry, will you forgive me and my hurtfull bigotry's.

I am make amends on a daily basis, I keep a tire pump in the back of my truck, I even stop and offer to help roadies flatten along side the road. Mostly when they are alone and in remote areas. When in town, they are on their own.

Actually, I know you've seen the light, Dean. No need to apologize. You're not a hater.

But, speaking of haters, Frank those are my tubes! :protest: You can't trade them!

You bought another bike?! That's three this year! Sheesh. You've got it bad, girl.

Yeah, the food setup was nice. Good tri-tip sandwiches, tons of pasta and some yummy tea. The ice cream to finish it all of was great, too. However, I'm a little bummed. The light I won in the raffle is a lemon! I put batteries in, turned it on, and smelled smoke, but no light. I wrote Topeak to see if they could do anything. I don't really feel right about trying to go back to Coates about it. That seems lame. So, if Topeak won't fix it or whatever, then I'm just going to have to enjoy my socks alone.

Actually the new bike was what Brian (nephew) decided on getting so I jumped on the good deal for him AND they had it in stock. I was just gonna let him post his own "new bike"..taking it down to him tomorrow. :D
I can't believe you FRANK trying to give Glenn's tubes away...
ya tar hater!!

Shark girl, I see a disturbing trend here. I am ok with you wearing the lycra on our rides, no complaints here. Then you go and purchase a road bike and now you are hanging out at road events. :?:

What's next, taking the visor off your helmet and glueing on of those little mirrors?

Gurpy, I'll be at Southridge parked at the cul-de-sac if you want to pick up your tubes.

When, tomorrow? Time? Which cul-de-sac? All I really know is the park's parking lot.

Even I dusted off the old (and it is old) road bike and cruised around the foothills yesterday. Hey Sharkster, you probably know this but I didn’t recognize you at first. I’ve only seen you a couple of times and that was with a helmet on. I swore you had blond hair.

It was nice to see you and the other STR folks out there getting caught red handed on road bikes. It felt like we were coming out of the closet. Today, I’ve got to get dirty again.

Nah I was probably just acting like a blonde. :o
Hey...how's your brother. Mike mentioned his fall and I'm thinking I'm seeing bloody knees in my photo. Any collarbone damage?? Great finally meeting your wife who did the ride. Sign her up here...she loves dirt too.
It was sure fun seeing all you riders all over the streets of Upland yesterday...
SINCE I'm in marketplace if anyone has an 85 to 90mm stem they'd like to sell let me know?? Thanks
Oops Sorry Shannon bout the blonde joke..;)

Doesn't everyone likes blonde jokes. :?:

We think Dean broke his collar bone. He might have it checked on Monday, even though they don't do anything about broken collar bones. Thanks for asking.

Jeanne will be signing up here soon. She’s trying to figure out a name. We both thought TheWaySuperBetterHalfofSScheetz was a little too long and lame. :D

This is one seriously hijacked thread.
