Wanted to pass on that me and the family had a chance to tour the Intense facility in Temecula yesterday while picking up my new 2006 5.5 Baby Blue frame (story here - http://forums.mtbr.com/showthread.php?t=174080) . All I can say is we took advantage of the tour offer as well as some wine tasting. The bike is being built up now, and I'll post the outcome when the "virgin" ride is completed. As I have to travel for work over the next week, I am feeling the pangs of antici..... pation already.

Here is a pic of my son Parker approving the new frame. Intense is a great bunch of people that really take pride in what they do. I'll also post a link to the tour pics pending an okay from Intense.

:) dude!! my friend Robert has one for a while now and just loves it!!! great buy!! sweet frame!! :bang: how much did u pay?

I'd rather not get into the actual amount as it was part of the trade in program they have for old Tracer frames. Not sure if they differ with each frame etc. But lets say it was a good deal, less than retail and close to a Titus Moto-lite price (a bit more with the non-standard color). Add in meeting the guys and gals who put it together, a look at and tour of the facility, the frame being a 2006 with updated bits, and a day wine tasting, well, ya' just can't beat it. For what I could have sold the frame alone for on eBay, I would call it a fair trade. Someone gets parts if they need em' and I get a new frame.

Nothing sweeter then a new ride. Congrats. I was looking at that same bike frame in AZ at Performance. It ain't cheap! But it sure is nice.

And the final build! Won't be able to ride it until Monday as I just got back from a biz trip and now we are heading to Mammoth for some much needed family time.

Hey Bobso! That color looks familar! lol My buddy shinken was a bit mistaken on the bike I got, I have the Uzi-vpx from '05. I'm brand new to this site and still learning the features, I posted some pics of my bike in a folder called "introductions", I include a link here but I don't how... Anyway, I got a '01 Uzi when they first came out and like you I got to tour around Intence Cycles beforehand. It really helped in making my choice to go with Intense, they looked to have some solid build practices and ideas that are in touch with real riding conditions. Have fun in Mammoth and I look forward to riding with everyone here! :o
