Looking to purchase a new set of glasses. Currently use Smith "Empire". Lately, have been fogging-up a lot. I've used rain-ex, cleaned them often, etc. They are 4 years old... Probably time for new eyewear. Looking for something with multiple lenses.

I'd really appreciate your suggestions. Look forward to hearing from you guys.

I've always like my Oakley Half Jackets. There framless on the bottoms which allow sweat to drip off and more airflow. They also have the rubber on the sides to keep them from slipping off your face.

If the half jackets are too small for you, you could try the M-frames.

I also have the Oakley Zero's which are frameless on top and bottom of lenses. Maximum airflow!!!!

The Half Jackets and M-frame are available with tons of different lenses...

Oaks tend to be expensive also.... I got mine at the sale they have \:D/

I have a set of these and absolutely love them.

I also have Tifosi glasses, got em for $40 shipped from Nashbar and they've been great. They cam with 3 different lenses, clear/orange/dark tint.

I have a set of Tifosi's as well. Not the greatest nor do they have the highest quality optics but they were cheap and get the job done. Got'em for ~$30 at Rock and Road b/c they didn't have the clear lenses, but I have the orange and dark ones.

I would go to the old Supergo (now performance) stores and If you're lucky to find any specialized shades u would probably pay like 50% or less for them!! I got me the Singletrack model for only 50 bucks!! 8) I'm not a big fan of the Adapatalite technologie but it works great for the type of riding I do. If you do more night rides then the usual then I would say to pass on these guys b/c it gets a bit hard to see in the dark. Great deal for sure if u want cheap.. \:D/

I will chime in here one more time and say that your Tifosi's looked like a better pair of glasses than mine FXRob. I'll have to shop more carefully next time around... :-k

Well Lance I didn't really pay attention to yours, but thanks for noticing  I just looked on Nashbar's website and they just had 2 different models of Tifosi glasses and they were both $60......they do look nicer than mine. I'm sure they improve the design each year and mine are at least 2 years old.

I may have to hop on the Tifosi wagon if anything happens to my 87 Oakley Iridium Razor Blades.

Bananaseat, you-know-who called and said that you still have his satin sleeping bag, whats up with that?!?!

Fogging

I like my Specialized shades - no need to change lenses for different conditions but they fog as easily as any others. I thought about the RainX trick but it says on the bottle not to put on plastic.

thanks guys. your input was really helpful. never would have considered tifosi's if a couple of you hadn't recommended them.

did additional research and scored some tifosi - kilos, $60 @LBS.

I'll let you try my Oakley's on our next ride, you'll be sorry you bought those Tifosi's. ;o)
