Well I finally decided on a road bike and bought it. I actually purchased the bike on Thursday, but they sold the color I wanted a couple hours earlier, so I had to wait until yesterday for it to be built up, which was well worth the wait cause the new carbon color is so sweet.

Took her out on her maiden voyage today. I started at my house in Coto and rode to the Aliso newbie ride in Aliso to say hi to some friends that were doing the ride. From there I made my way to Newhart Middle School off of La Paz to catch my little brother's soccer game. From there I climbed up La Paz and made a left onto Felipe and took that Alicia parkway then to RSM Parkway and back down Antonio to Oso and back home.

    Total Distance - 33.4 miles
    Total Elevation Gain - 2,473
    Average MPH - 15

Not really that far but I haven't been riding a lot lately so for me it was a good.

Now on to what everyone came here to see: The Pictures

I think I'm going to stay away from white bar type because I would guess it turns a funky color when it gets dirty from your gloves and stuff.

ive had mine 4 a while and its fine. i ride with and without gloves.
also some shellac over the tape when when wrapped will keep it from getting too dirty. can also clean up with simple greeen.

I think thats for the S-Worls model. I was going to pick up a Roubaix Elite about a month ago, but couldnt dump that much into a new bike at the moment. I loved the ride of it, expecially compared to my 1989 Cannondale Black Lightning :-k . The carbon and better ergonomics makes a world of difference.

    Nice looking bike! Congrats!
I think you should go with white bar tape for awhile too.
Also, maybe it's the way the photo was taken but the nose of your saddle is pointing up kinda high!
That could cause ball rot after a few rides.
Lose the frisbee at some point too. ;)
Enjoy the ride and the speed!

I had white bar tape on my bike track bike for 4 years and it never got half as funky as the white grips I've had on my mtn. bike for 2 months. And I ride the track bike every single day.

    By the way, tite bike.

I might go white when I get the funds, right now they are going towards other things for it.

I noticed that too, it is just the way the photo was taken.

Don't worry, I'll be out there soon enough, just need to get myself back into shape. Unfortunately, I think I'm coming down with something so that might throw a bit of a wrench in my plans.

Haha not yet, give me a couple weeks.

Nice. I have the same one in Carbon/Red. You'll be riding 50 milers in no time and not realize it.

not true white bar tape has 2-3 x the life of other colors of bar type. first you get white then you get shades of gray, then you get black. All three colors go good with your bike colors. :?: Im just saying :?:
