not mine, unfortunately, but man the new Knolly Delerium looks sweet. Both of my "dealers" got one at Interbike (i.e., Larry Mettler and Chad from redbarn). They look so cool to me.....

The bikes look pretty good and I've heard good things about the proto's but I have a hard time seeing the benefit of that seat tube angle. It seems like with the post extended one would have a hard time keeping the front wheel planted on climbs. Also, I may be wrong but I heard the frame weighs 11+ pounds. If true, that's crazy for a 6" "All Mountain" bike. There's a lot of stout 8" bikes that are in that range.

and the Endorphin is a 5.5" travel bike. keep in mind, travel is misleading. these bikes, regardless of travel, are built for north shore stuff. sweet bikes. here is the 5.5" endorphin. They are all gonna be heavier than other bikes with the same travel. Based on riders opinions so far, these are even stiffer than Ventanas, the previous benchmark for stiffness.

and for real men, the Knolly V-tach at 7.7" travel but damn, 12.5 pounds!!!!!!!

Wow, that is pretty heavy for the frames travel, but for the kind of abuse these bikes are designed for, I'd say its ok. These would probably be good bikes for heavier riders too.

weight aside the design lines on the Endorphin are sweet. Hard to tell but seat angle does look set back a bit comped to other 5" travel bikes.. Pretty interesting design for link system - any reports on it. May not be seeing it correct but what's up with that "stub tube" above the bottom bracket? not in market but also curious what are these frame running cost wise

yes.....concept was that when pedaling, with the seat higher, the effective top tube will be good for climbing. when descending, the set will move forward allowing more aggressive positioning.

i do love the enorphin....especially when it gets upped to about 6/6.5" travel.

The bike's not even shipping yet. And they're going to up the travel to 6-6.5"? Where'd you hear that? I think it's a great idea considering how much it weighs. That would make it more appealing to the rest of North America who doesn't ride in the North Shore.

my sources are one step from owner of Knolly Bikes. i think the bikes are killer and he realizes that perhaps they are marketed slightly wrong (I agree). the Endorphin with 6/6.5" travel, otherwise the same at between 8 and 9 lbs with coil, will be very competitive among bikes like the RFX and Terremoto. To have called the over 10 lb Delerium an "all mountain" bike was just missing the mark....with some minor bike tweaks and revamped marketing he will be very successful i predict. he sounds like a fantastic guy to work with too which never hurts.
