Need some help

Hey guys,

I was wondering if you guys can help me out with something. I've a got a great friend that has been commuting every single day, rain or shine to work with a beat up Road Master Mt. Fury from Walmart that was given to him.

He's been trying to save up some money for a few months for a mountain bike. However, he and his wife are experiencing personal challenges in which has drained their finances.

What I am asking from the folks of Socaltrailriders.org is to either donate some parts or a working mtn bike for my friend Kevin. It doesn't have to be a fancy bike, just a bike that he can get some milage on. Or at least something better than the Walmart bike he currently has.

I know this is alot to ask, but I am willing to pick up the parts or bike and put it together. Trust me guys, if I had the money, I'd buy him a bike because I know he would put it to good use.

If there is anyway anyone can help, I would greatly appreciate it as well as Kevin.

Once he is presented the new bike, I will post pics.

I have these parts to give:



2 Pairs of old tires
Trek 3700 Green/Silver Frame (good frame, just a bit heavy; good condition too.)
many components from the 2004 Trek 3700
RST Fork (pretty low end, but who cares ... the whole bike was a blast to ride)
Front derailleur
Acera Rear Derailleur
handlebar
Stem and spacers.
Wheels and QR ... a bit wobbly (easily fixed)
Seat and Seattube

And that's about it I think...
