    Hey Guys,

I need help. I'm trying to get a headset for my frame but am confused with the Bearing Seat Angle. I don't exactly know what that means.

So far, I know I need a Integrated Headset w/ 42 mm dia top/bottom to fit a 1 1/8" steer tube. Is the Bearing Seat angle all that important?

give Vic a call (vicsbikeshop.com), his shop is in Pomona right next to Cal Poly. Vic can hook you up, he knows Cannondales pretty well as he rides a CAAD10 himself.

The bearing seat angle usually relates to the angle of the crown race / compression ring. They have to be the same angle in order to mesh together.

If you're buying a complete headset, you shouldn't have to worry about that at all, since it should include the race and top ring.

Edit: And oops, #-o this is probably one of those integrated headsets. So there is probably the angle they're referring to. See the 45. The 36 is what I was referring to above.

So complicated... But I now understand what those angles mean.

One more question: Is the height of the bearing cartridge standard? The top of the head tube isn't as tall as the bottom. Maybe the cone-shaped headset spacer will cover the bearing cartridge that sticks out?
