The following is my mini-review of the 575 I built up. Thanks to Rob  for the great deal on the frame and the other parts as well.

I went for a ride tonight, at least a partial ride since I got caught in the rain and I decided to turn back 1/4 of the way into my ride.

Initial impression is that I like how the bike pedals so far, which makes me wonder how my old Enduro would have felt if I had had the shock Pushed. The 575 definitley felt "quicker" and I think I was riding it in a higher gear (smaller cog in the rear) than I normally rode the Enduro.

The only drawback, not really a drawback, is that I had a more difficult time climbing. This is just due to me needing to get used to adjusting my position on the 575. I was just used to the Enduro that I didn't really prepare myself for climbing when I came upon my first long climb. Another contributing factor I would say is that I am getting used to the new shifters. I didn't shift properly, combine that with my lack of physical fitness and you get me trying to unclip really fast before I fall. So this is not really a fair comparison to the 575, can't judge it on this point yet. On this note I must say that the 575 pushes up the hill a lot easier

The suspension felt very plush but not "boingy" if that makes sense to any of you.

So far I like it, it's overkill (the bike is capable of a whole lot more than I can do) for the Loop and how "I" ride but I hope to be able to try it out soon in other locales. One other point, it seems to really be stable on descents. Tonight was the first time I didn't feel skittish and although I don't ride fast I found myself carrying a little more speed than normal.

I have no regrets buying it. I see myself holding on to this bike for a quite awhile and if I could only have one bike right now, this would be it. What else can I say at this point without actually riding it more?

You are going to love the 575 over the Enduro. I had an Enduro for about three years and purchased a 575 frame a year ago. I rode my Enduro with a Vanilla and the shock link in the steeper more XC setting (71.5 HA). My Yeti has a Pike and a HA of 69.

I like you noticed that the 575 climbs much better. I attribute this to sitting more forward on the bike where my weight is more centered. The
Enduro's seat angle was slacker; therefore, when I raised my post for climbing my weight was really far back on the bike compared to the 575.

With the slacker head angle and the additional 15mm of travel and the 20mm axle, the
descents are wonderful on the 575. I can go down stuff now that used to send me over the bars before.

Post some pic of the bike. Enjoy!

Glad to hear you're happy with the frame so far Agustin. Hopefully the RP3 will serve your needs as well without needing a revalve for the pro pedal, it should feel really plush descending that's for sure. It's amazing how little those frames weigh and how much abuse they can take.

I had my Enduro set up in a similar fashion but with a Float instead of the Vanilla. I tried riding it in the 69 setting but didn't like how it climbed, and yes, I did also notice that my weight was further back on the Enduro especially when raising the saddle for climbing.

I also have a Pike on my 575 and like it alot. It seems happier on the 575 than it did on the Enduro.

I'm taking it out this Saturday so I will see then if I will need to have it revalved. From last nights ride i don't think I will but then again it was short ride.

Take it to Turnbull, you'll really enjoy it there!!

I'm taking out to Sullivan Canyon this weekend; it's where I started riding and I haven't been there in a while. I think it'll be a nice place to get a good shakedown ride in.

its a yeti.its going to do everything well. yeti came out to incycle in the summer last year and i was able to beat a 575 into paste.it took the beating it was handed. nice bikes, good luck with it!

Since you'll be out there, you might as well take it down J-Drop also, that's a fun piece of singletrack!!

Where is this singletrack? I've ridden there a few times but always by myself so I never learned all the ins and outs of the trail. I also never learned the names of the trail sections. I'm one of those people that gets around by using landmarks, I'm really bad with names.

This is the route I will be riding http://www.geoladders.com/show_route.php?route=294

This route includes J-Drop: Geoladders -- Map or http://www.geoladders.com/gmap_display.php?select_mode=0&city_map=1&route=291 :D

J-Drop is pretty hairy, so do go alone ](*,) , just in case. i'll definitely try to make my way out there so we can do a killer ride out there, i've been wanting do to a ride this involves both of these routees plus Sullivan Ridge & the Eagle Rock loop for a ~40 miler out there.

I'll check it out while I'm there, just out of curiousity and to at least familiarize myself with it, at the very least it's location.

The person I'm going with is more into the workout aspect of the ride so I don't think he would be willing to try it out.

~40 miles , that's impressive. I have a hard enough time with 12-15, lol.
