My new Chameleon...

My new Santa Cruz, w/ a Marzocchi All mountain fork. She is fast and very fun!! I got the frame used off ebay for only 200 dollars. The only things that hurt my wallet was the fork, $579, but list $755, so I did okay.

I wanted a high quality single speed and this bike fits the bill. The KHS could not withstand the abuse I put it, it felt like it was going to break.

Sweet bike Alan! That's the AM SL fork (air) version right? I actually bought one of those for my 575 but then realized Marzocchi decided to put no ETA/ECC travel adjust on it so I returned it. Let us know how it rides. I still may try and convert my Stiffee into a singlespeed someday

Nice Alan! I thought it was going to be an actual Chameleon, I'll have to post a pic of my new Chameleon too, it only cost me $30.00 though, lol.

I've been looking at one of those - I did not know they had no ETA on the air version. Damn! Back to square one.
I need a 4 - 5" fork.
I'm riding a Marathon right now, but I'd like something a little more burly.
I'd prefer air, and a travel lock-down would be nice.
Any suggestions out there? :-k

I figured lack of ETA wouldn't matter much since I don't like to mess around w/ stuff too much while I ride. On my Talas, it's almost always using the full travel even on tough climbs, I usually just lock it out when climbing.

But this does have lockout and some other goodies, and at only 4.3 lbs, and being as stiff and plush as a Zoke, it's hard to argue with it. I have a top of the line Fox Talas RLC, and so far, I am very impressed with the Marzocchi. The bike feels like its on rails with this fork, hardly any flex. The Zoke rides like a rigid fork when it needs to; soaks up big hits like nothing when it has to. The Fox, although an excellent fork, did flex a bit on big hits and fast tight turns. All just my personal opinions of course.

Combined with the Chameleon, and this bike is one lethal weapon.
