heys guys, just wondering............

How far are you willing to go or some good or different riding?? i live in Ontario and I'm willing to drive 90 minutes to a trailhead. for me that would include: as far south as San Juan Trail, as far east as Big Bear or Idyllwild, as far west as the Santa Monica Mountains and to the north is Mount Baldy which 45 minutes from me and everything else in between.

Reason: i'd like to set up group rides for the Santa Monica, San Gabriel, San Bernardino Mountain Ranges. there are a lot of good and challenging rides out there that we can all enjoyand discover if we are willing to plan, travel, carpool and make time for.

I'm down for checking out some other areas for sure! I've bee riding the OC trails weekend after weekend and would like to see some other stuff. I know BANANASEAT was talkin' bout Marshall this weekend possibly. Once the weather starts cooling off, the more appealing the inland stuff sounds to me. I'm sure FXRob is in the same boat. We usually always carpool on the weekends when we ride.

hey DINO,

i'll be in Big Bear this weekend, you should come over and ride on Saturday.

Bananaseat and I did a lot of riding when he was on vacation, Marshall Canyon is a lot of fun. We also rode Turnbull and the Santa Monica's

I'm willing to travel and ride new places. But i dont get out of aw and the other parks out there that much cause i dont have a car. But the other week i rode an hour out to stt and im willing to ride out there more but im not aloud to ride bymyself outside of aw, lcwp and ccsp. The ride to the santa annas mountains fom aw isnt that bad its just boreing.

Traveling Times

 Not a problem to drive for a least an hour. As long as the ride is set up in advance. The ride should also be close to an epic bike ride if it is only for a day ride. A great ride for me is 3-5 hours of some good trails. So far what I have been experienced with the group are great trail rides. Don't let the same weekend trail get you every weekend. I was in a rut of riding the same old Aliso Woods/Whiting. Now that I have riden new trails with the group. I am willing to drive the hour or more to get a taste of new dirt. Keep up the great work of posting the rides on the board.

I have driven over three hours to ride Noble and Big Laguna. Both rides are well worth it. We also ended up accidentally riding the Perfect Cycling Trail for a little ways on one of the rides - it was worth it too. [-X
SART is worth the drive as well.
I have plans to do the Cannell plunge, either this fall or next spring, if anybody is game.
I'm with Dino - I'm more interested in travel when it's cooler.
