Beginner. Technically, i would still be junior, but one lap is just not enough!:-k Did it last year, and it was a blast!

    Ross, I'll let you borrow a bike, but it's a 19" hardtail.

I am thinking of doing it, I go to school there and driving by I always wonder what it would be like riding with all the cattle. It looks like it should be a fun ride from what I have seen of the track. Those that have done it how comparable is it to Bonelli since it is just around the corner from there.

I don't really have an xc bike set up for racing as my suspension bikes are wearing 2.5 tires amoung some other heavy stuff, but I could borrow my sons hardtail for a day I guess. I don't want to change out the tires, because I'm running Stan's in both of those bikes. I did race the ss one year and I think I came in second to last. That was a very painful day.

Compared to Bonelli, it has a couple of hike-a-bike's, and going across the cow pastures is bumpy. Other than that, dirt is very much like Bonelli, and it has a couple of fireroad sections that are like Bonelli. Best thing to do is to come out and see for yourself!\\:D/

    I don't race. For the same reason I don't ride a single speed. :D

Yeah, I learned my lesson. That's the secret reason I don't race. I'm not fast and I suck. My avatar reminds me of the 12 year old kicking my ass. But, I tell myself the reason I don't race is because I don't have anything to prove and that people who race are insecure about their genital sizes. It makes me feel better about sucking. :) Please don't tell anyone. I would be embarassed. I feel comfortable telling you, though, Jason because we've ridden Mt. Marshall Cyn together. Sort of.

Not likely. My testosterone shipment was delayed. I'm not racing if I can't dope.

They have a web site this year.

    http://as.mtsac.edu/fattire/index.html

I hear the course is going to be different this year. Apparently Cal Poly Pomona isn't participating so they can't use the trails over there.

    Mt. SAC Course?

Based upon time (not to miss the raffle) you should sign up for the early starts - Expert or Sport. An early start (8:45) keeps you out of the heat too.

Anybody have an idea of the altitude gain per lap? I've been there to watch cross country running so I have seem some of the hills, like "Poop Out Hill".
