I headed up to Wrightwood to try the new bike park today. It was pretty hot, mid 80's but super low humidity and a nice breeze so I barely noticed it.

I was reluctant to try this bike park because they only have two trails open, a green and a blue. After looking at the map, I realized it was a super easy ride from the lifts over to Blue Ridge, which is not part of the park but a super fun downhill enduro type trail, so I did two rides down that also. It is only about a 10 minute ride to the trailhead, and then only about 5 minutes back to Mountain High at the end. Perfect.

I got an email while I was on one of the lifts that a third trail would be opening Saturday, LOL, so missed it by a week. Oh well, next time.

I enjoyed the trails they had open. The blue trail called "Lil Pines" is about 3 miles start to finish and is fast, flowy and bermy. I had a blast on it.

The other trail called "Coyote Creek" was also fun, but a definite step up due to the jumps and drops. Almost all the jumps are tabletops, and the drops are super mellow. All can be bypassed too.

There are some crossover combinations that can be done, but I generally just rode the full length of the trails each time.

The park was practically empty on a Sunday which was fine by me. I only caught a few people on the trails. One of the lift operators told me it does get busy on Saturdays, so I will stick to Sunday when I go again.

Not sure how many runs I did total, but I started about 10 AM and didn't stop until after 3 PM with no real breaks, so yeah, I had a great time. Definitely worth the $45, especially if mixing in Blue Ridge trail. I am hoping the new trail will be a chunky Black Diamond, but either way, I'll be back.

This trail is great for high speed berm training ...

On the way to Blue Ridge, which burned all the way down to the bench, but the trail itself was in great shape ...

Make a right at this sign and 10ish minutes later you are at Blue Ridge trail ...
