Would you rather he be left on the side of the road to fend for himself?

See Dick ride. See Dick take out innocent roadie dudes on ride...Don't be a Dick!

I live near there and I see the mayhem all the time. The sportbikes think they own that stretch of road and make total asses of themselves on the weekends... stay away.
And don't try to confront any of those self-rightious squids or you will get the finger and a few choice words, or worse. Just sit back and let Darwinism take it's course.

I was waiting for some sportbiker-beatdown after that incident. Those roadies showed some real restraint.

Accidents happen. Thats what this was. A lot of moto's going down on that corner and cyclist just happened to be in the same place at the worst time. Hope they're all ok and heal quick.

Noob mistakes can happen from even intermediate level riders. I still make noob mistakes about every other ride on my mtb. Then again, i am a noob.

Looks like a pretty good advertisement for Titanium. They show the bike (1:30) and the rear wheel is toast but the frame actually looks okay.

You're right, he's not that experienced. He also stops leaning too early in the curve, that is what caused him to go to the outside of the lane. Rookie mistake.

I'm guessing that after his insurance company sees this video, it may be his last experience on a motorcycle.

another guy Rnickymouse is up there Sat and Sun every weekend, cuz these idoits are a dime a dozen...even a few cagers that are way to pedal happy.

I've riden that section, there is nothing wrong with the road..#1 these guys go up there thinking they can ride there bikes like at the track #2 These guy don't have the right set up on there bike to do so #3 They don't have the skill level or expierence to take a fast corner while trying drag a knee. All these accidents can be avoided by taking the time to do a few things beforehand but many don't

Sounds like he needs some serious Buttonwillow seat time.

You should see some of these idiots trying to go up the Kern River Canyon, I have seen more wrecks on new street bikes than I want to count. There is even some on Youtube showing guys going down in the twisty section.

That's my go to road bike route... Rockstore a few times a month... (and Latigo, Stunt, Fernwood, Encinal, Decker and all the other great rides)
Rode there with my wife the day after the accident... wise advise to try to avoid riding there weekends. If you do, you may get to see Jay Leno though...:)
People are driving that section like crazy - cars and motorcycles.
The police give this place a "Carte blanch" from some reason, while cars driving on Kanan Rd a little faster than 45 mph will get cited in no time.

For you non-roadies out there that like to go fast on dirt, the Snake going down is not only a beautiful section of Mulholland hwy, but as technical a descent as you'll find on a road bike. Carving the turns, looking where you want to go, tires sticking and carving the asphalt is an awesome sensation!
Tree canopy and huge rocks overhang the road and it finishes with a straight downhill that goes on forever!
The motos can be a problem though. There are some real dickheads on motos that pass on the right <(happened to me)> or buzz too close.
They think they own the frickin' road but I remember when there were no crotch rockets out there. Big bike guys were polite but the others are morons and really need to be neutered.
They can go up and down as many times as they want but I tend to go down once and I really want to enjoy the downhill while I can. Plus I need to set up my gnar face for the photog on the S curve!

Everytime I see the video, I just see the yoga pants. How tragic for me...#-o
