Fun mellow ride today in Moro/Laguna. It was me, Matt (diggity), Dean, Jose, Craig, Shannon, Rachelle, and Mike. Rachelle was with another rider but I cant remember his name. Also saw kid-a at the start.

The heat was actually never really an issue. We started the ride close to 8:30 (although some people got some riding in earlier). Started off with I think I can and rode the ridge over to fenceline. Rode fenceline to the other end of the park and that's where we split. Half of us went back the other way on fenceline. I was part of the group that went back. Almost ran over some people coming back up fenceline but narrowly avoided a couple bad collisions (take that as a warning to be cautious on fenceline when it's busy). Rode into Laguna and up bommer ridge. Made a quick detour on T&A where Craig did the top huck. Continued up bommer ridge all the way to Dean's house where the ride ended.

Shannon had to bail before I think I can because she was sick. Good to see you again and hopefully we'll get to ride with you soon. Get well!

Goerge thanks for the pics, and the rest your you all for the ride.

Dean
I have some video too. Might mix up something during the week or keep it in my str video stash for a compilation thing later on.

guys my bad. good to finally meet you in parking lot but was also hoping to ride along as well.

looked like you were still getting settled and as I had some time constraints on back end decided to start rolling fully expecting to see you on trails. (perhaps bad assumption on my part)

My ride was with Johnny Dirt and another non STR rider named Ron (we call he Timmy-you'll find out why).

We ended up keeping it to park and back tracked a bit because one of us who shall remain unnamed lost his car keys while falling UP HILL on no dogs climb!(btw- individual rhymes with jimmy). a while later we also made another pit stop to repair J-dirts broken seat rail - was fairly easy fix. In between we meet a "real friendly" guy at the bottom of fenceline (private joke inserted for J-dirt and Timmy)

overall not big ride but fun. ~15 miles/2800 ascent.

No pics/vid for this ride so attaching gps (includes some backtracking)

In any regard, always next time.

Fun quick ride guys. Thanks Von Diggity for giving me some seat time on your Nomad. That T&A drop felt like dropping off the curb. I should have stayed local. It's 120* at the River.

I lost my watch out there. Does anybody know how I can contact the Lost & Found in Crystal Cove? I guess I was so distracted by the pain from the ss I didn't notice it falling off. It came unclipped in a previous ride and I noticed it, but it only happened that once so I didn't think it would happen again.

pf good luck. as mentioned we had a lost key incident and was found and returned to ranger station. hope you have same luck

Gonz, Von Diggity and I rode El Moro/Laguna Coast this morning. We headed over to T&A and I decided to hit the top huck on the 5 Spot. I bottomed out my Pike (note to self....add more air), but cleaned it nonetheless. Then a bit further down Gonz was going ahead to do some more video taping and somehow he managed to drop both his sunglasses and his camera ](*,) I found his glasses, and he found the camera but it had a dent in the case and it wouldn't turn on :( Then I think Gonz dropped his glasses about 3 more times before getting back on his bike
I think the heat kept most people away as the trails were not very busy for a Sunday, but actually the heat never really got that bad. We climbed up Willow (no football armored downhiller dude spottings today), and just headed back to the cars at Ridge Park.

Mike I believe I saw your watch on you when we were in LCWP over by Boat Canyon. You may want to check with them too.

Mike, I don't work tomorrow and I had planned on going to look for my memory stick, which I also lost yesterday up on Missing Link. I will check around for you.

I rode Fenceline/Missing link both ways today. I was kind of keeping an eye out to see how much bike related junk I could find/remove. I didn't see anything.
There were more runners/hikers than bikes.

damn, how much sh!t was lost in the parks this weekend, bet we soon be seeing one of those gramps from beach with metal detector walking fenceline instead of HB

Hey George, It was good seeing you out there on Saturday. I was feeling like crap because of a cold, but didn't want to miss out on riding. I should have just stayed in bed, but oh well at least I gave it a try. Can't wait to ride w/ you guys again.
Shannon

Mike, I followed the route we did Saturday and either your watch is in the bushes or someone picked it up. The only thing turned into lost and found at El Moro last weekend was a car alarm key ring. Did not find my memory stick either.

Thanks anyways Dean. Now comes the tuff part....

Telling my wife I lost the watch she gave me for my birthday, which cost her a lot.
