The ride was about perfect. We had a few people show up 6 I believe, JR711 and Joy, along with STJunkie and a few others that don't post here. The temps were mild at almost the entire ride. It had rained pretty good the night before which made for some very nice tacky trails, and there were thunderclouds keeping the temps down and making some noise too. But no rain on us although I wouldn't have minded it if it did. We started up by Jenks Lake and followed the stream down on some awesome singletrack. Not overly technical, but very fun. We only ran into a couple of other riders the whole day and only a couple hikers over by Barton Flats campground. Someone has done some maintenance out there too, and they did some nice work. Only one tree to hop over and the bugs were tolerable. I did manage to get a butterfly stuck in between the helmet strap and my face.I think we logged like 17 miles today but it sure didn't feel like it. I'll be going back soon.
