Correct Weds. Aug 26 and Thurs. Sept 17, 6pm.

Over the Hump...midweek, or maybe we're song writers..."it means whatever it means to you"; it's definitely not just for old guys. - Good stuff!

This is a great idea, Irvine lake is really putting on some good stuff this summer. I think I'm in.

Add another to the "beginner" class.

Tran and I came out to help with the trail today. We thought it was going to like last time with only a handful of people but we were wrong! We had an army out there today! I dont know about everyone else but I had a great time out there helping out today. And as expected, new pics of the trails are up on my website... www.crankoc.com.

The trail is "easy". If you can do fullerton loop, you can definitely finish this race. It is pretty typical of what you think a XC course would be like. No super crazy climbs and no super crazy downhill. It's relatively flat with short up and downs.

    We want more climbing! :?:

I see the strategy here to more helpers out. Show the pics of the cute girls and more people will come out right?

Yes...will have to agree with Minhster....first time i've ever done trail work and didnt think many would be out there, but I didnt show up til a half hour later since I didnt get out of work til 5pm....and surprised to see a lot of familiar faces and a lot of people working away.

And since I always have my bike for "just in case" purposes...well the bike came in handy and John took us on a lap of the course after we we're done. Course seems to be a lot of fun and will be fast.....no major climbs at all. Would be a good place to start if you havent done any XC racing and are looking to try it out!!.

Thanks Matt and good meeting and seeing everybody!!

There will be on-site registration on the day of the race but you risk having the event being sold out (and it cost more on the day of). Your best course of action would be to register online @ http://overthehumpseries.com

We've been super stoked on all the support, originally I thought it would take 5 days of trail maintenance to get the course ready. Instead, because of al the help, it took TWO 1/2 days. THANKS TO EVERYONE WHO HAS SPENT TIME AND EFFORT TO MAKE THE COURSE COME TOGETHER. IT'S A FUN, FAST COURSE.

1st race is next Wednesday! Aug 26!
