Who: All Mountain bikers
What: XC ride; 10, 15, or 22 mile options
When: Sunday, July 3rd @ 7 AM
Where: Marshall Canyon in La Verne (directions: exit Fruit ave. off the 210 just east of the 57 , go north on Fruit to Baseline Ave., at baseline go west (left), at Wheeler ave. go north (right), go north on Wheeler approx. 1 mile to Oak Mesa School / Park on right side of street and go to parking lot)
Why?: Why not? let's have fun and ride somewhere different
Trail Comments: i pretty much do this trail up to 2 times a week, Marshall Canyon itself is a 5 mile climb with a very fast descent 5 mile descent with windy fireroad and rollercoaster type singletrack with multiple stream crossings. it's a very fun trail with lots of shade, add 5 more miles if you want to add the Claremont Wilderness Park loop, or another 7 miles if you want to climb up to Potato Mountain which would test your climbing endurance (9.5 mile climb from bottom of Marshall Canyon)
additional info: http://www.socalmtb.com/socal/trails/marshall.htm
if you have any questions email me.
i'll also be up there on Saturday July 2nd @ 5:30AM
