A seller on eBay had 15 of them. All of them were sold within 1 day. I told a few friends on this site... i think that half of them went to STR members. :)

I love mine. Works really well; last ride I went on with it, I earned the nickname "Mr. Spotlight".

Finally was able to use the light. I strapped it to my commuter to give it a go before heading to Moab without knowing if it works well. Here are some of my findings.

Battery Life: It lasted 3 hours and 40 minutes, + or - 10 minutes on HIGH beam.

Recharging: Took 3 hours and 15 minutes to recharge the battery.

Pattern: Love the spread of the light. It has a bright center and plenty of spill over. And she is bright. I saw more car drivers looking at me than ever before.

The button to switch light settings has a good feel and worked perfectly.

It does get hot. Only if setting still. With air movement it only felt warm. It took about 3 minutes without air movement for it to get warm enough to make me worry.

I will be buying another asap. I love this light. I recommend it.

I'm thinking we need to have an STR light comparison test. We can all bring our lights and have a competent photographer there and have a good time and post our findings. Who's in??

I got mine a couple weeks ago, I will be trying it out tomorrow night. It seems very bright. I will also use a super bright LED flashlight strapped to my helmet...I think I will be alright with that much.

I just bucked up for one on GeoMan's site. Time to lay my old old old nightriders to rest.

Hey, can you fit the battery pack on your top tube or does it go on the stem?

I have a Lupine Edison 10 at the mo, but don't need a 9hr run time system for my 1 hour commute, plus don't want a bottle battery!!

    I'm off to order !

...just purchased my second light from Geo Man.

Have been riding with the Magicshine for a month now and am very happy with it. It's nearly as bright as my HID-Niterider, but in a smaller package and considerably lighter too.

Run time has right around the manufactures claimed time. All in all i'm very happy with the light and challenge anyone to find a brighter/lighter package for less money.

Does anyone have a picture of the light mounted? Strange question, but I'm trying to get a sense of the size of the light and battery. It's hard to get perspective from the stock pics. How does it compare to the Niterider set-ups?

I ordered mine yesterday for Sycamore Canyon night rides. :bang: I will definitely consider buying one or two more lights if I find this light to be a good performer. I'll report back here as soon as I check it out. Now for a helmet light. :-k
