Mac book Pro sell or possible trade

Im helping my buddy "the wheel deal" sell his Mac Book Pro so he can buy a new bike. he bought this a little over a year ago and because of his busy schedule he hardly got to play with it. I figured he's be better off selling it and possibly getting a newer one when his schedule frees up. It's in great condition and he's asking a firm $1,100. No Apple Care or box. I do have the book and disk that came with it.
