I work in maintenance in a housing complex at UCI. First thing I'd check is the coils to the fridge. If they are dirty or dusty it can make a big difference how cold it gets. Then I'll check the gasket to make sure it's sealing. Then I'll check the fan between the freezer and the fridge to make sure that is working. The fan is a fairly easy replacement. After that, if it still is not getting cold enough, I'd call for repair.

Two places I've used are Saddleback Appliance and Executive Appliance Services.

Saddleback is in Laguna Hills. Their phone number is 949 830-6910.

Executive Appliance is in Garden Grove. Their phone number is 714 530-2511.

Both places will charge a service fee for coming out. I think about $80 to $90. If the repairs are going to amount to half the cost of the fridge, I'll buy a new fridge.

    Hope that helps.

I started this thread and it I cleaned the coils and the back pannel of the freezer and it got cold over night. If the Freezer is still getting cold and it is not getting down to the fridge replace the Thermostat, Defrost timer and the actuall defrost unit (less than 100 bucks for me) and everything works fine.
