Long Shot lost GoPro 8

I was out riding Aliso yesterday and had a saddle mounted GoPro 8 in a cage. I set it up on top of the fire road just before it drops down to Rockit coming from Cholla. I noticed it missing down towards the big bouldery tech section and hiked back up to where the trail gets skinny but not all the way to where I started with it. Anyways, if anybody happens to find it, I can verify with serial number. Even if it is destroyed I have GoPro plus subscription that would cover it.
I know it's a long shot, but figured I'd at least try!

No idea why it died. I took over when it was dead and hope to get it going again.
