Another Limestone Canyon open access day ride from Saturday. My Hightower 29er is in the shop, so I had to break out the old 2017 Intense Tracer 27.5 for its first ride in a year. What a fun bike. I will need to start riding it more.
I started early and decided to hit Limestone Ridge first for a change to see if I could beat the hikers. Almost did. I still came across a few, but not bad. Scored the KOM on the full length of it, so I was happy with that. If I could ever hit it empty I could shave another 15-20 seconds easy.
From there over to Box Springs. Unlike last open access day, they actually brushed it this time, so that was nice. I did two loops of it before heading back over to Limestone Ridge. From there I did the first half twice and dropped into Raptor twice before calling it a day.
Fun ride, and spotted a Gray Fox at the top of Box Springs so that was cool. Pretty sure that's the first Fox I have seen on the trails, at least the animal variety. Aliso has some of the human kind on occasion.
