Well, the new Santa Cruz Nomad is on the street. Wondering how the lucky people in this world that got one like it? Is it up to all the hype?

I rode one today on the streets a lil bit. They have em at the BIKE CO. It felt sooo comfortable and confident attacking curbs and stairs. I like it. Its really a do it all bike that wont let you down. Its almost as light at my Tracer too!!

GO test ride em, their fun!

What's the Damage?

How many frames did they have in stock? Also what was the cost of the full set up you test rode? Do I have to sell one of my kids to afford one? Any info would be great. . Thanx.

Heard the frame itself goes for about $1800 to $2000 without forks! Pretty expensive, but so are a lot of the "Dreamrides." The Santa Curz website has package deals. It will run about the same as most high end bikes. The shop near me sold three the first week they got them in. They have one left from their original order and don't know when more will arrive. Your right, these things are expensive!

you might wana sell your whole family. :-({|=

The Bike CO had a couple frames in one of the employees is selling his complete. Thats the one I rode. He might let you ride it on the trails if your really interested.

Im thinking of selling my Tracer and buying something with a newer design and more travel. Either might swapt frames or start new.

Poor man's nomad

Everyone seems to be building long travel trailbikes on this board . The Nomad is getting reviews as the one bike to do it all. A real all mountain bike dream come true.

I have always though along these lines also. So I went ballistic in the garage and came up with the Poor Man's Nomad.

What do you think ?
