Our family took a 4 day trip up to Lake Tahoe. A beautiful place with lots of things to do. Supposedly there is some great riding up at Lake Tahoe. I did some research and found out about the Flume Trail and Tahoe Rim Trail.

Day one me and my brother did the Flume Trail. We started at Spooner Lake and worked out way up to Marlette Lake. An easy 4 mi fireroad climb, well maybe the last 500 ft was the hardest part.

On our way up

Once we got to the top it was downhill to the lake. We rested there for a bit and just relaxed. It was a nice day. It felt good getting away from the 90 temps we are getting here in Socal. There werent a lot of riders out but then again it was a weekday.

After relaxing by the lake we headed over to the damn to start the Flume Trail.

The Flume Trail was a nice 4 mi singletrack ride that had breathtaking views of Lake Tahoe. Most of the time we were cruising and enjoying singletrack.

Yeah we saw a lot of this

Of course we had planned to do a 30 mi ride of the TRT/Flume on day 2 but that plan was scrubbed. We did rafting with the family instead. It turned out to be fun going down the truckee river but now I got a really burned back

Maybe next time ill do that 30 mi ride.

Nice!

I am heading to Lake Tahoe tommorow, and will be there until next Tuesday. I am still undecided if I should take my downhill bike or the trail bike. I may just rent a Giant Faith up at the resort. But for now, I must get this bike rack installed on my Wife's Jeep.

Nice rack. haha Those Sportworks look really nice.

Id bring the trailbike and rent the dh bike. You should stop by spooner lake while your up there. Take the mt rose shuttle to tahoe rim trail and enjoy the ride. You can go to the different trails and make it a 30 mi ride. And ride the Flume its a really beautiful trail. This option is only open on the even days btw. Have fun up there!
