Road Ride Report La Crescenta to Santa Monica Pier and back w/ Garmin route

Fun ride, rode through Hollywood on the way back. This on the footsteps of a 4+ thousand foot climb in 44 miles on Christmas Eve morning. This is the most I've ridden since training for the MS Century. :bang:

Your link doesn't work well. Actually not your fault, just a glitch in the program. Your link takes you to the Garmin Connect log on screen. Once you log in you go automatically to your own dashboard, not to the activity you are providing the link for. You need to provide the activity's name so we can seach on the name.

In any case, sounds like you had a great ride. I ride out of Montrose / La Crescenta too.

I've done La Crescenta to downtown before, but took the bus back up to Foothill.

Did you take backstreets or main thoroughfares?

We took mostly thoroughfares, lots of bumpy roads though, took my front wheel out of true. Mavic Aksium Race.... not great wheels.

 

Got it. Cool ride. Nice that you took Chevy Chase all the way back. Love that climb from the 2 underpass up to Figueroa. You can connect to St Kathrine Dr. all the wa up to the school on top and make it a really good climb.

 

Yeah, that is my Thurs ride usually, up to Sacred Heart, down to the bowl, a few laps around, down to South Pas, back up to Altadena and across to La Crescenta again.

I cant do the Wilson new years ride, I'm going to be riding up the coast from Morrow Bay to San Simeon and turn around, about 60 miles round trip. But I love that Wilson ride, especially with all of the new pavement :bang:
